Heavily involved with TACSC at all levels since 1983 as a delegate, staff member, conference director, former Board of Directors President
Annually created and presented workshops focused on Jr. High School Leaders for 29 years
Over 10 years experience in retail buying offices of Williams-Sonoma and Cost Plus World MarketDeveloped, produced and sold houseware products nationally for 5 years
Trained QVC presenters on product presentation techniques
Designed and implemented training programs for national retail and food chains
Created, managed and executed delivery programs for retail furniture stores
Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, UC Riverside 1994
Master's of Education scheduled to be completed in 2011
Married to Terri Detre with two children

About our Founder and TACSC Consultant - Marilyn Thickett
Founder of The Association of Catholic Student Councils which is now in its twenty seventh year of serving Catholic Elementary Schools across the country.
Involved in student leadership education for the past thirty eight years.
Author of "Student Government and the Elementary School" - a manual for establishing a student council.
Contributor to "Today's Catholic Teacher" Magazine Speaker at previous NCEA Conventions and Regional Educational Conferences.
Workshop Leader for hundreds of students annually, teaching them how to organize student elections and their own election campaigns.
Editor and contributor to TACSC's quarterly publication "The Leadership Times."
Former student council moderator. Former co-principal of one of the largest Catholic elementary schools in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
Taught middle and junior high school students for nine years...in urban, suburban and rural areas.
Native of San Francisco and a graduate of California State University in San Francisco.
Holds a California Life Teaching Credential and Administrative Credential.
