Election Workshops
|
These are held during the spring semester and take place in as many dioceses as time and personnel will allow. Any student thinking about running for a student council office from grades 5 through 8 is invited to attend.
Students are helped to determine the qualities and responsibilities of a leader. They are given guidelines to assist them in deciding which office they want to hold, and they are given instruction in running an effective campaign.
Advisors and those students in charge of running elections are taught how to make the Electoral Process in their schools a real lesson in democracy and responsible citizenship.
