Operations: TACSC operates its programs and provides its services with the assistance of two full-time employees and over 300 volunteer high school students, college students and adults each year. Volunteers teach classes to young student leaders and serve as counselors at our Summer Leadership Conferences. Some take on various tasks related to the financial support of TACSC and the team building that must take place to maintain the volunteer support upon which TACSC so strongly depends. Others volunteer to stuff envelopes, and do other housekeeping type jobs which help augment the very limited personnel attempting to maintain the day to day operations of TACSC. Volunteers assist in staff training and a few hold positions on the Board of Directors or Regional Planning Committees. A large portion of our volunteer staff is made up of young people who themselves benefited by TACSC's services when they were in elementary and junior high school. They are eager to stay involved with the TACSC family. They want to pass on the values and positive experiences that made such a difference in their lives...those they feel they gained through their participation in TACSC and student government.
200 to 250 people volunteer approximately 16,207 hours of service each year. This is equivalent to $69,000 - $114,000 contributed annually. Please click the links to the left to learn more about these programs.
